Role Overview

As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. You will lead daily kitchen operations, inspire the team, and ensure seamless service across all dining outlets and special events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen brigade during service, ensuring consistency and efficiency
  • Uphold high standards of flavour, presentation, and portion control
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety compliance (HACCP)
  • Support menu design and recipe development
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
  • Train, mentor, and motivate junior team members
  • Coordinate prep for private functions, banquets, and events
  • Collaborate with front‑of‑house and F&B teams to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Control costs through effective resource and inventory management
  • Organise staff rotas and assist with workforce planning
  • Check the quality and accuracy of deliveries
  • Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across kitchen operations
  • Strive to meet and exceed departmental KPIs
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a high‑quality restaurant or hotel
