Overview

At Horder Healthcare, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care and service. Our catering team supports recovery and wellbeing through nutritious, high-quality food. We are seeking a creative and passionate Sous Chef to join our experienced catering team.

Based at The Horder Centre, Crowborough, this is a full-time role on a 5 of 7 Monday–Sunday shift basis with shifts from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Corporate Catering Manager and Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
  • Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and ensure food is prepared and served to a high quality and standard.
  • Assist with menu planning, menu development, and food preparation.

Contract and Working Pattern

Contract: Permanent • Working pattern: Full-time, 5 days out of 7 (Monday to Sunday)

Salary

Up to £26,500 per annum

Requirements and Rights to Work

Right to work in the UK. This role does not qualify for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route. Applicants must be able to demonstrate the right to work in the UK independently.

We require pre-employment checks including a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, references and occupational health checks before appointment.
