Job Introduction

We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is perfect for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences. You will support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, and driving operational excellence.

What you'll do:
  • Deliver high-quality food services daily, ensuring all menu items, cooking methods, and presentation meet company standards and customer expectations.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety, health & safety, and statutory regulations.
  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff, optimising manpower, motivating the team, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
  • Support the Head Chef in menu planning, introducing new concepts, cost control, and achieving budgeted sales and profitability targets.
  • Conduct and participate in daily briefings, departmental meetings, and training sessions to maintain team performance and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, supply chain requirements, and auditing standards, consistently achieving high performance and safety scores.
What you bring:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef, ideally in high-volume environments.
  • B&I (Business & Industry) experience advantageous.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
  • Strong IT and communication skills.
  • Experience in standards/compliance-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and service skills.
