Job description

As a Sous Chef at the House of Commons, you'll help lead the daily operation of a designated kitchen, supporting menu planning, food production and service to the highest standards. You'll bring creativity to seasonal menus, ensure accurate costings and maintain excellent food quality, presentation and safety. You'll also supervise and develop your team, delegate tasks effectively and uphold strict Food Safety, Health & Safety and hygiene standards. Working in this unique and prestigious environment, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences across Parliament.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must have relevant catering qualifications i.e. City and Guilds 706:1&2 or NVQ level 1,2&3 or equivalent qualification(s).
  • Experience of managing, motivating and developing kitchen staff, giving feedback and supporting development. Must show evidence of own development and training.
  • Must be able to demonstrate good cooking skills, knowledge of food and successfully working in all areas of the kitchen in a high volume, multi‑outlet, high‑quality venue.
