What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Prepare and present dishes to a premium restaurant standard, tailored to residents' individual needs.
  • Adapt menus for special dietary requirements, allergies, and medical conditions.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and stock control.
  • Supervise and guide kitchen assistants, ensuring smooth service delivery.
  • Contribute to menu development and new dish ideas for a diverse, changing audience.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working as a Sous Chef in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience within a care home or healthcare environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of dietary needs, allergens, and nutritional balance.
  • A passion for fine dining presentation and quality service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, lead by example, and maintain calm under pressure.
  • Food Hygiene and Safety certifications (Level 2 or above).
