Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate chef to join our ever expanding kitchen team.

Experience in producing dishes using fresh local ingredients in a fast pace environment with a minimum of 2 years experience is essential.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of 2 years previous relevant experience within a busy fresh food kitchen.
  • Previous experience in preparing pub classic food as well premium gastro-pub dishes.
  • Passion for cooking and exceptional service standards with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible.
  • Ability to run the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Support the kitchen team in various tasks, including cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes.
  • Help supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and ordering supplies.
  • Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
Qualifications
  • 2 years previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant/pub environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
