Job Summary

The role of Sous Chef at Sundridge Court Nursing Home is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled chef to create fresh, nutritious meals for the residents. Main Duties

As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high‑quality, fresh meals for the residents of Sundridge Court Nursing Home. You will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that all meals meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of the residents. The role also involves leading and mentoring the kitchen staff, as well as contributing to the development of the Chef academy. The successful candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing excellent hospitality.

Responsibilities

We are looking for highly skilled chefs to create fresh nutritious meals for our residents by using the best fresh ingredients available. The role consists of straight shifts & no evenings. There will be a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor our teams to progress in our own Chef academy.

Person Specification – Qualifications

• The ideal candidate for this Sous Chef role will have substantial experience in a similar position, preferably within a healthcare or hospitality setting. They should possess excellent culinary skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail. A relevant qualification in catering or hospitality would be an advantage, but the most important qualities are a passion for food, a commitment to delivering exceptional service, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
