Job Overview

Join us as a Sourcing Manager – Capital Projects at Barclays to optimise and address Barclays’ third‑party spend requirements. This role involves defining, developing and implementing strategies for relevant spend categories, collaborating closely with the business, and executing strategic sourcing and buying channel optimisation.

Location

This role can be based out of Glasgow, Northampton or Knutsford.

Responsibilities

Profile spend in the category area and develop an understanding of business strategy, requirements, cost levers, and opportunities.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, develop requests for proposal, and ensure sourcing activities align to the bank’s needs and priorities.

Plan and execute sourcing events including RFP/RFXs and negotiations to meet business requirements for value, speed, compliance, and risk.

Monitor and guide controls and compliance requirements throughout the category and sourcing cycle, including regulatory engagement, controls, audits, and data quality.

Develop, implement, and operate policies and procedures for sourcing activities aligned with policies, standards, relevant compliance, and regulation.

Identify and deliver change opportunities to improve effectiveness, control, and efficiency of sourcing processes, including buying‑channel optimisation for relevant categories of spend.

Identify industry trends and develop related knowledge by attending conferences, participating in training, and conducting market research on techniques and tools.
