Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation seeks a Sourcing Lead subcontractor in Stevenage for a 6-month contract, with hybrid/remote work 2-3 days from home. The role focuses on leading RFx events and supplier onboarding to strengthen the supply chain, reporting to the Category Manager and Supply Chain stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a procurement background (Category/Procurement Manager or Lead Buyer) with CIPS or equivalent, and is comfortable with English contract law and TCO reductions.

Qualifications

• CIPS qualified or equivalent experience.
• Experience in running complex RFx.
• Product Lifecycle Awareness: understanding sourcing across NPI to Legacy.
• Data & Cost Architecture: analyse open-book cost models and TCO reductions.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities aligned with category/domain strategy.
• Represent procurement in senior stakeholder discussions.
• Onboard suppliers and drive supplier development with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
