Freelance Sound Technician

Location: Various venues (auditoriums & meeting rooms across the UK)

Rate: £240 - £280 per 10-hour day

Contract: Freelance / Ad hoc

We're looking for experienced Sound Technicians to join our freelance pool supporting a range of corporate events, conferences, and live presentations. You'll work alongside production teams to deliver high-quality audio experiences in professional environments - from small boardrooms to large auditoriums.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and de-rig professional audio systems for live corporate events
  • Manage microphones, playback devices, and PA systems during sessions
  • Work closely with clients, producers, and AV teams to ensure smooth delivery
  • Conduct sound checks and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and attention to detail on-site
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sound Technician or Audio Engineer in live event settings
  • Strong knowledge of digital and analogue mixing desks (e.g. Yamaha QL/CL, Allen & Heath, etc.)
  • Comfortable working solo or as part of a wider AV/production crew
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-sufficient
