Job summary

A professional interpreting and translation agency is seeking freelance Somali Interpreters and Translators based in Wakefield. The role offers flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home while interpreting for various public and private sectors including the NHS. Ideal candidates should be fluent in English and another language, possess relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, and have the right to work in the UK. The Job

Interpreting involves listening to, understanding and memorizing content in the original ‘source’ language, then reproducing the speech into the ‘target’ language with 100% accuracy.

You will:

• Interpret for people using legal, health and local government services
• Check the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence
• Conference, consecutive and public service interpreting
• Dealing with highly confidential information
• Liaise between the service user and service provider

Requirements
