3 billion people across the world work in frontline jobs. Yet, despite rising costs and staff shortages, frontline organisations are still left to choose between paper, Excel, and WhatsApp, or decade-old workforce management solutions to take care of the most important part of their businesses - their people.

Enter Sona: the next generation of AI-native, frontline workforce management. We’ve built an end-to-end platform covering Scheduling, HR, Payroll, and Communications that gives the largest frontline organisations everything they need to staff more intelligently and empower their teams.

In 4 years, we’ve already made a deep impact on the lives of over 100k frontline workers and the operation of their organisations, grown the team to 120+, and secured over $50M in funding from notable VC’s, including Felicis, Northzone, Gradient Ventures (Google), SpeedInvest, Antler, and Notion Capital, plus notable angels like Tom Blomfield (Monzo).

It’s a hugely exciting time to be joining the team as we’re still small enough that you’ll have a significant impact on the company’s growth trajectory and culture, yet large enough to have a great structure, experienced leaders and world-class benefits in place. More on working at Sona here.

About the Role

As a Solutions Specialist, you will be responsible for configuring the Sona platform to meet customer requirements, ensuring a smooth and successful implementation. Working within a dedicated pod alongside a Project Manager and Solutions Architect, you will manage multiple implementations, translating specifications into a fully functional system while collaborating with customer and internal teams.

This is a hands-on, technical role requiring problem-solving skills and deep product expertise. You will troubleshoot challenges, ensure seamless system operation, deliver training to customers, and provide insights to the Product Team to enhance our platform. If you enjoy solving complex technical problems and working cross-functionally, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Data Management: Use and adapt Sona’s templates to collect, clean, and migrate customer data, ensuring accuracy through validation and collaboration.
  • System Configuration: Configure Sona based on the Solution Design spec using internal tools, data upload methods, and coordination with Product and Engineering.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Run UAT with customers, adjust configurations based on feedback, and maintain the Solution Design Document.
  • Training: Deliver Train the Trainer sessions for system admins, both in-person and virtually, and provide ongoing Q&A support for managers.
  • Hypercare Support: Provide troubleshooting, final configurations, and data loads before transitioning customers to Customer Success and Support.
Requirements
  • You have a strong understanding of data flows and keen attention to detail.
  • You’re a proactive learner, able to rapidly pick up new systems and processes as the product evolves.
  • Experienced in key technical tools: SQL for data extraction, config and UAT, advanced Excel/Sheets for data manipulation and automation, and ideally JSON for configuration (or willingness to learn)
  • You’re customer-centric, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Capable of presenting to groups and delivering training.
  • You’re eager to become a Sona expert over time.
Benefits
  • Salary: £45-60k
  • Remote and flexible working (with travel to UK client sites and London office for onboarding and team days)
  • Share options
  • 35 days annual leave (25 days standard plus 10 flexible public holiday days)
  • Extra day of leave for every year of service
  • Pension contributions matched up to 5%
  • Comprehensive health insurance
  • Enhanced parental leave & pay
  • Co-working space stipend for those based outside London
  • Bi-annual all expenses paid team retreats
  • The latest Macbook and equipment budget for your home office
  • Professional development budget
  • Unlimited free books
