Description
Hey 👋 I’m Pete, Chief Revenue Officer at Pinpoint.
We’re a high-growth HR tech startup building and selling software that helps in-house recruitment teams attract, hire, and onboard the right talent. Today, we have a strong foundation in place, with a mature product, rapid growth, strong product–market fit, and happy customers.
To date, I’ve been the one leading technical discovery, building Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and unblocking complex deals. It’s worked, but it doesn’t scale. As we handle a higher volume of larger, more complex deals, we need dedicated technical horsepower embedded in Sales.
That’s where you come in.
We’re hiring our first Solutions Engineer to partner closely with AEs — leading technical discovery, designing tailored solutions, and building proofs of concept that prove we can deliver. Your work will (1) increase win rates and AE productivity, (2) free up leadership to focus on team and strategy, (3) inject deep technical expertise into the sales process, and (4) raise the bar on product fluency across the Sales team.
The fine print (but a bit more exciting) :
Expect an intense ramp. You’ll spend time at our HQ in Jersey early on — working closely with Pete (CRO), Bill (CTO), Dom (VP Engineering), Dave (former Head of Integrations), and Ellis (COO) — to accelerate your learning and build early context for live deals.
First 30 days : Learn the recruitment product deeply, build a PoC for a real process, and flag outdated docs as you go.
Days 30–60 : Build a second PoC focused on onboarding flows, confidently scope integrations (HRIS, background checks, calendar), and run mock scenarios.
Days 60–90 : Lead demos and technical discovery live, articulate our implementation, security, and data migration approach, and independently build PoC accounts.
By six months, you’ll be running point on all technical discovery, PoCs, and solution design across deals. The CRO will join only as an exec sponsor, and Product / Integrations will step in only for confirmed custom builds.
Within your first 3 months, the CRO should no longer be building or demoing PoCs. Enterprise AEs will only handle PoCs by choice — not necessity. Questions that go beyond standard documentation or existing channels will route through you.
By six months, you’ll be independently scoping, solutioning, and supporting deals end‑to‑end.
We’re flexible — this is a foundational hire, and finding the right person matters most. We’ll explore different comp structures together (base + variable, performance bonus, or team quota alignment). We’ll also talk through expectations early and ensure full alignment before final stages. No surprises.
We want Pinpoint to be the best place you’ve ever worked — somewhere you feel valued, supported, and excited to grow. Here’s what you’ll get :
A detailed overview of our benefits can be found here .
We’re changing the way companies hire, and rewriting the rules of recruitment.
We’re a high‑growth HR tech company building software that makes hiring faster, fairer, and more human, fixing the broken processes that make it hard for great candidates and great companies to find each other.
We started in 2018, bootstrapped our way to 500+ customers and $5M ARR, and raised private equity funding in 2023 to accelerate our next stage of growth. Today we’re a 90‑person team across the U.K. and U.S., serving more than 1,000 organizations worldwide. We continue to scale quickly and sustainably on sensible unit economics, with no layoffs required, because we’re building for the long term, not the next funding round.
Our product is deep and configurable enough to handle complex hiring workflows, yet simple enough for teams to love using every day. That balance between power and usability is what makes Pinpoint unique. We back it up with genuine care : fast (under 90 seconds), human support and honest answers, every time.
Our culture is built on genuine transparency and values we actually use to make decisions. Even with the early‑startup noise behind us, everyone here still shapes how we operate—taking ownership, staying curious, and solving problems proactively.
And as we scale, we’re intentional about balancing structure with flexibility, all while holding ourselves to a high bar for respect and kindness.
If you’re looking for a place where you can move quickly, solve meaningful problems, and work with kind, smart people — and want to help change the way companies hire — this is the place to do it.
