Overview

At Metris, our core value is to be ambitious for customers. We don't just want to 'sell software', we want to enable our customers to scale their solar portfolios faster. We're looking for a Solutions Consultant to join the team and act as the technical bridge between our product and our customers. Our Solutions Consultant will play a critical role in making sure our customers are successful and our product delivers maximum value. As a Solutions Consultant you'll work closely with sales, product and support teams to design and implement solutions that meet customer requirements, ensuring successful onboarding and long-term adoption of our platform. Our product is technical and the most successful candidate will be as comfortable debugging data queries as speaking to customers. As the first hire in this team, you have the opportunity to build the implementation function from the ground up, design processes and shape the future team.

Responsibilities
  • Primary ownership of customer implementation. Lead implementation of the Metris solution end-to-end from data migration and integrations to feature delivery.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to communicate customer needs and influence roadmap.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support during pre- and post-sales stages.
  • Join late stage sales calls, understand customer requirements and design tailored implementation solutions.
  • Where required, deliver product demos, technical presentations and support on commercial proposals.
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement, document best practices and optimise customer workflows.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they maximise value from our product.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven track record as a solutions engineer or technical consultant with a strong track record in delivering complex, high-value SaaS deals.
  • Technical: Comfortable with data, workflows, technical troubleshooting. Bonus: SQL & familiarity Python.
  • Hands-on mindset: You get 'stuck-in', work hard and enjoy going above and beyond.
  • Pre & post-sales: You excel at both sales and project management. You understand the full customer journey end-to-end, can design processes that scale and are in the front-line for delivery.
  • Industry knowledge: SaaS experience is a must; renewable energy experience is a bonus.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Crucially, you can also listen well, understand customer pain points, and frame solutions persuasively.
  • Flexible working arrangements: 30 days work from anywhere; 3 days/week in office (2 days hybrid).
