Solutions Associate Director

Corporate Pension Solutions (CPS) is a dynamic and growing part of M&G’s Life insurance business, focused on delivering innovative de‑risking solutions tailored to the complex needs of corporate and institutional clients. The Proposition & Operations team within CPS plays a pivotal role in developing these solutions, ensuring they meet customer needs while aligning with M&G’s commercial goals.


We’re seeking a Solutions Actuary to lead the development and execution of new propositions, support onboarding of new clients, and ensure ongoing product oversight and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities for this role:
  • Lead the development of CPS proposition strategy and roadmap, including innovative solution design
  • Collaborate across M&G to enhance CPS offerings for pension and corporate de‑risking markets
  • Manage end‑to‑end delivery of new solutions, engaging senior stakeholders and legal entities
  • Support distribution and transaction teams with client deliverables and relationship management
  • Provide technical analysis and strategic input to senior M&G Life stakeholders
  • Oversee existing solutions to ensure customer outcomes and commercial objectives are met
  • Integrate cross‑functional workstreams (investment, longevity, reinsurance, ALM) into solution development
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify new commercial opportunities
  • Develop scalable, agile processes for future deal volumes and maintain pricing targets
  • Manage outsourcing arrangements and mentor junior team members
Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Actuary with strong commercial acumen and technical expertise
  • Proven experience in life insurance, pensions, or investment solution development
  • Expertise in bulk annuity pricing, funded/longevity reinsurance, or life insurance balance sheet management
  • Solid understanding of UK DB pensions and Solvency II/UK regulations
  • Familiarity with Matching Adjustment, ALM, and non‑standard capital/reinsurance structures
  • Strong knowledge of UK DC pensions, including scheme design, investment strategy, and member outcomes beneficial but not essential
  • Understanding of investment platforms, fund structures, and governance frameworks within DC pensions beneficial but not essential
  • Self‑motivated, deadline‑driven, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
