Job summary

LSEG is looking for a Solutions Architect to lead initiatives across the FTSE Russell Index platform, enhancing operational resilience and driving modernization. This role requires extensive experience with legacy systems and modern architectures, particularly in AWS and microservices. The successful candidate will collaborate across Product, Operations, and Engineering to design effective, scalable solutions. A hands-on approach is essential, with mentoring responsibilities and engagement in architecture forums. This position offers an opportunity to influence strategic decisions in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect / Senior Technical Lead in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong track record working with legacy systems and distributed architectures.
• Deep expertise in AWS, data platforms, and microservices architecture.
• Strong development background in SQL, Python, Java or C# (.NET), and Angular.
• Experience designing highly resilient, scalable, and secure systems.
• Strong understanding of risk management, controls, and regulatory environments.
• Experience operating in matrix organizations with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with AI/ML or intelligent automation use cases.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, resilient solutions across legacy and modern platforms.
• Lead architecture for risk, regulatory, and resilience-driven initiatives.
• Navigate and simplify complex system landscapes while maintaining stability.
• Define target architectures and transition roadmaps, making pragmatic trade-offs.
• Act as a hands-on technical leader—review designs, support implementation, and build PoCs.
• Drive data-intensive and calculation-heavy system design.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and governance.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Risk, and Product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
