Job summary

Based at Riverside House with hybrid working, the role involves turning business needs into secure technology solutions across the Council, including infrastructure, networks, cyber security and Microsoft 365.

We are growing our Digital Services team and looking for a Solutions Architect who wants to use technology to make a real difference. You will help design services that support our staff, improve residents' experiences and enable the Council to deliver its priorities.

You will take the lead in turning business needs into practical, secure and reliable technology solutions. Working with colleagues across the Council - including project teams and specialists in infrastructure, networks, cyber security and Microsoft 365 - you will guide solutions from the first idea through to delivery.

This is an opportunity to influence major transformation programmes, explore new technology and help modernise public services. You will provide trusted technical advice, support technology choices and procurement, and make sure new solutions are sustainable and ready for the future.

You will join a collaborative team where your ideas and expertise will be valued-and where the solutions you shape will have a visible impact across Rotherham.

The role is based at Riverside House, Rotherham, with flexible and hybrid working available in line with the Council's working location policy. You may occasionally need to attend other Council sites, support out-of-hours activity or respond to operational service needs.

This post will have access to the Public Services Network, if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at the Basic level (unspent criminal convictions).
