Job summary

Ivy Rock Partners is seeking a Solutions Architect in London to help transform complex technology platforms for a prominent education sector client. The role is largely remote with occasional office presence in London SE1 and weekly travel as needed.

You will collaborate with Enterprise and Product Architects, the Transformation Team, and delivery colleagues to translate strategic goals into robust solution designs that comply with enterprise standards and organisational strategy.

Qualifications

• Solutions Architect with experience in complex, enterprise environments.
• Expertise in AWS cloud architecture; Azure experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of CRM and ERP capabilities.
• Proven ability to work in and support agile delivery environments (Scrum / Kanban).
• Comfortable coordinating with external and offshore partners to ensure consistent delivery.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to set coherent, robust technical roadmaps and support non-technical decision makers.
• Experience producing architecture artefacts, diagrams and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic goals into coherent solution designs aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Provide leadership across solution design, cloud architecture (AWS and Azure) and governance.
• Collaborate with product managers, delivery teams, engineering, and external partners to ensure delivery.

London SE1 (hybrid-working, 1 day per week in office)

Interesting and varied Solutions Architecture role supporting the transformation of global technology platforms across this NFP in the education sector. The role is largely remote with travel to London (once a week max) and provides a blend of working on leading technology solutions with an excellent team and strong work-life balance.

Working closely with Enterprise and Product Architects, the Transformation Team, Product Managers, Delivery Teams, Engineering, (on and offshore) Suppliers and across the wider business stakeholder base, this Solutions Architect role will translate strategic goals into coherent solution designs that align with enterprise architecture principles, technology standards and organisational strategy.

About the role

This role is an expansion to the existing Architecture Team to support organisation wide change from legacy on prem services to a modern cloud environment (predominately AWS with but including Azure).

This will require leadership across a blend of:

• Solution Design and Architecture
• Cloud Architecture (AWS and Azure)
• Technical Leadership
• Governance & Standards
