An IT consultancy specializing in providing data-driven solutions in the supply chain sector is seeking a Solutions Architect to work with colleagues to ensure IT architectural designs meet strategic goals and project-specific requirements. The Solutions Architect will have proven experience developing solutions to business issues and problems and will have a strong understanding of cloud-native design, integration patterns, and architectural frameworks. Additionally, you will have experience working with a major cloud platform and a background in software engineering, infrastructure, or systems design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-level and detailed solution architectures
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners
  • Work across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring architectural consistency and alignment with enterprise standards
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through to delivery and transition
  • Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical challenges
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Support the development of architectural governance and documentation standards
  • Support day-to-day operations and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability when required
  • Provide general administrative and practical support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement
  • Maintain a proactive and dependable approach
  • Travel to customer sites and other locations when required
Knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect across multiple technology domains and projects
  • Strong understanding of architectural frameworks, integration patterns, and cloud-native design
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with practical implementation constraints
  • Background in software engineering, infrastructure, or systems design

Desirable:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect)

Salary: £75,000 to £95,000 DOE
