Job Title : Solutions Architect

Job Description

We seek a Solutions Architect to join our team, providing strategic technical direction and business leadership for customers within the AWS ecosystem. This role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that drive business transformation and success.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic technical direction for customers, focusing on AWS solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including AWS partners.
  • Lead the solutioning process by identifying, scoping, and creating proposals that encompass technical approaches, best practices, implementation plans, and pricing strategies.
  • Advise and support sales, practice, and delivery teams on AWS strategies and solutions.
  • Deliver technical webinars and presentations, and represent the organisation at public events.
  • Develop and implement data architectures and solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.
  • Guide development teams in adopting best practices for AWS data architectures.
  • Produce detailed architectural documentation, data flow diagrams, and operational guides.
  • Stay updated on AWS innovations and emerging technologies, recommending enhancements to existing architectures.
  • Develop data migration-modernization solutions and 'To-Be' architectures using AWS native services / tools.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in Information Technology and / or Professional Services; 12+ years preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a client‑facing Presales / Solution Architect role.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Proven expertise in designing and deploying data solutions on AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, SQL, and scripting languages such as Python.
  • Experience with Big Data technologies and data visualisation tools.
  • Understanding of MLOps and DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.
  • Valid AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Data Analytics certification preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Desirable experience with AI / Gen AI / ML services and frameworks.
  • Experience with architecting and implementing data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Experience in implementing security standards and data governance policies within AWS environments.
  • Proven experience with the AWS Partner ecosystem.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients across the UK and Mainland Europe.
