About the role

As the Solution Lead you will be assigned to specific clients and/or bids, where Orange provides complex and customized solutions. You will have an end to end view and accountability over Pre-Sales and Post-Sales technical activities on your assigned accounts. The role has a functional manager aspect when multiple technical resources are involved.

During the Pre-Sales phase, you will own the solution end to end including the service wrap. You will also be the bid solution lead and ensure the coherence of the technical answer provided to the client. Additionally you will be own the technology strategist and advisor of the bid.

During the life-cycle of the contract, the Solution Lead has the overall accountable for the delivery of the technical solution according to the contract and will be the advocate of the client technical’s expectations. The architecture governance and the innovation board will also be under your control.

This role is customer facing where you will be expected to build and foster the technical relationship with external vendors/partners. The role will also champion the expansion of Orange Business's services within your client accounts.

A key objective of the Solution Lead is to financially optimized the technical solution proposed to the client and to deliver the agreed scope according to, or better than, the business case.

About you

About you:

  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience in customer facing organizations within the telecom or IT industry (channels, local representations working directly with customer IT management)
  • University degree in Communications systems/or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong technical skills around telecommunications/IT solutions and services.
  • Proven track record in driving and positioning a global technical strategy to customers’ needs
  • Understand market trends, technical and business issues associated with the communication industry.
  • Excellent business and commercial understanding.
  • Demonstrated leadership and matrix team management capabilities in a multi-national environment.
  • Ability to handle complex situations (internal and customer facing).
  • Effective customer senior management communication.
  • P&L management capabilities.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Program and/or project management skills is a plus.
  • An in-depth understanding of the portfolio of products supported by Orange Business is a plus.
