Job summary

WeDoTech is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to drive end-to-end architecture for a major D365 F&O/Enterprise Finance Transformation in a UK utilities environment.

Role covers integration across Salesforce, AWS, D365 F&O and SAP S/4HANA, with payments and consumer-finance providers involved. You will lead discovery, challenge designs and own architecture across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience designing solutions across multiple enterprise platforms rather than operating purely within D365.
• Strong finance, billing, Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash knowledge.
• Experience integrating D365 with Salesforce and/or AWS-based integration landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end solution architecture across Salesforce, AWS, D365 F&O and SAP S/4HANA.
• Own integration patterns for billing, payments, settlements and financial reporting.
• Define how D365 Order-to-Bill and Subscription Billing can be reused and where new patterns are needed.
• Architect payment flows including card payments, pre-authorisation, tokenisation and settlement reconciliation.
• Define integration with consumer-finance providers, remittance ingestion and high-volume settlement matching.
• Ensure new D365 processes integrate safely into SAP S/4HANA finance.
• Lead architectural decisions on D365, Salesforce, AWS and surrounding platforms.
• Collaborate with business epics to form a coherent target architecture.

Senior Solution Architect – D365 F&O / Enterprise Finance Transformation | Contract | Outside IR35

We are looking for a highly experienced Solution Architect to support a major enterprise transformation within a complex UK utilities environment.

This is not a traditional D365-only architecture role. The programme is moving a significant home installations finance operation onto Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, with Salesforce as the customer-facing platform, AWS supporting integration, SAP S/4HANA remaining part of the finance landscape, and multiple payment and consumer-finance providers involved.

A significant proportion of the target architecture is still to be defined, so we need an architect comfortable operating in discovery, challenging existing designs and owning architecture across multiple enterprise platforms.

The Role

You will own the end-to-end solution architecture across the finance and billing landscape, working closely with Finance, Dynamics, Salesforce, AWS/integration and wider architecture teams.

• Define the end-to-end architecture across Salesforce, AWS, Dynamics 365 F&O and SAP S/4HANA.
• Own integration patterns for billing, amended sales processes, payments, settlements and financial reporting.
• Define how existing D365 Order-to-Bill and Subscription Billing frameworks can be reused and where new patterns are required.
• Architect payment flows incorporating card payments, pre-authorisation/tokenisation, multiple merchant accounts and settlement reconciliation.
• Define integration patterns with multiple consumer-finance/lending providers, including funding requests, remittance ingestion and high-volume settlement matching.
• Ensure new D365 processes integrate safely into the existing SAP S/4HANA finance landscape.
• Establish robust approaches to error handling, reconciliation, exception management, auditability and operational visibility.
• Lead architectural decisions around where functionality should sit across D365, Salesforce, AWS and surrounding platforms.
• Work with functional and technical specialists to turn high-level business epics into a coherent target architecture.

Key Experience

• Strong architecture experience around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Dynamics 365 Finance.
• Proven experience designing solutions across multiple enterprise platforms rather than operating purely within D365.
• Strong understanding of finance, billing, Accounts Receivable and Order-to-Cash processes.
• Experience integrating D365 with Salesforce and/or AWS-based integration landscapes.
• Experience with complex payments, payment gateways, merchant services or card processing.
