Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking a Solution Architect - Cyber Security to design and deliver security-focused architectures across the Incident and Vulnerability Management portfolio. You will collaborate with Cyber Security Programme Managers, Enterprise Architecture and client teams to ensure secure, compliant outcomes.

The role emphasizes a security-first approach, with responsibility for design, delivery support, and stakeholder management across complex programmes in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Solution Architect in Cyber Security.
• Security architecture requirements for solution designs and enterprise-scale solutions.
• Experience collaborating with SOC to optimise monitoring, response planning and execution.
• Experience developing a Target Operating Model for Vulnerability Management and threat landscape detection/remediation.
• Understanding of Network Security risks and the M365 security stack, cloud security tools, and CIS/NIST frameworks.
• Experience implementing Tenable Vulnerability Management agents across endpoints/servers.
• Experience deploying SentinelOne against legacy OS not supported by Defender.
• Experience upgrading SIEM capabilities and Managed Detect Response services.
• Experience leading end-to-end delivery of a Cyber Security Programme.
• TOGAF, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, and/or CISSP are desirable.

About the role

As a Solution Architect - Cyber Security, you will make an impact by providing architecture, design, and consultancy on all projects within Initiative 3 - Incident and Vulnerability Management, sitting in the Cyber Security portfolio. You will be a valued member of the client's Cyber Security team and work collaboratively with the Cyber Security Programme Manager, Digital Enterprise Architecture and Engineering teams, Digital PMO, and Digital security, service operations and change management teams, and clients.

Emphasizing a security-first approach to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving cyber security landscape, you will contribute to the design and delivery of solutions to support continuous improvement of the client's Cyber Resilience strategy.

In this role, you will:

• Solution Design and Architecture: Design high-level infrastructure, application, business and security architecture for projects across the Cyber Security portfolio; create and ensure all designs align to Enterprise Architecture and client governance requirements; and review and document low-level architecture design patterns and support models to support technical implementation and service transition.
• Effective Delivery Management: Contribute to project scope and objectives to ensure feasibility of delivery and achieving desired outcomes and benefits; collaborate with application product delivery teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and support them with architectural challenges throughout the delivery lifecycle; and work with the relevant Technology, Change Management and Enterprise Architects to ensure that outcomes delivered by projects are consistent with the design.
• Design Support & Service Transition: Provide design support for implementation, test assurance and service transition.
• Stakeholder and Vendor Management: Forge strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including technical teams, business users, and senior management; and work with vendors to guide them on solution design and ensure solutions are delivered effectively and aligned to best practices.

What you must have to be considered

• Proven experience working as Solution Architect on large-scale programmes within a Cyber Security portfolio.
• Working knowledge of security architecture requirements for solution designs, good security practices related to AWS/Azure PaaS, IaaS, SaaS configuration, and an understanding of enterprise-scale solutions.
• Experience collaborating with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to optimise security monitoring, response planning and execution.
• Experience with assisting the development of a Target Operating Model (TOM) for Vulnerability Management, plus understanding of vulnerability management and threat landscape detection and remediation.
• Understanding of Network Security risks and solutions, including experience of the M365 security stack (Endpoint, Defender, DLP, Device Management, Azure Sentinel), Cloud Security (Tenable, MDR solutions, Remote Access, Network security), working knowledge of Cyber Essentials and UK DPA/GDPR, knowledge of one or more cybersecurity controls standards and frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc.), and knowledge of Clarity and SIEM. These will help you succeed
• Experience implementing Tenable Vulnerability Management agents across client Endpoints and Servers.
• Experience implementing an Endpoint Detection system (Sentinel One) on legacy operating systems not supported by MS Defender.
• Experience upgrading existing SIEM capabilities to handle more data sources and advanced analytics, and experience implementing a Managed Detect Response Service.
• Experience leading the end-to-end technical delivery of a Cyber Security Programme.
• TOGAF Certified, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, and/or CISSP.
