8x8 is seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver carrier‑grade solutions for our service provider global SI and distribution partners. This role is ideal for a technical leader who can bridge business outcomes with engineering depth, shaping architectures that scale, integrate seamlessly, and unlock long‑term value for complex partner ecosystems.

You will be the design authority across major service provider accounts working at both strategic and technical levels to translate requirements into robust, future‑proof architectures. This is not just about pre‑sales; it's about owning solution design from concept through to delivery, ensuring technical integrity and partner success.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

Lead the design of scalable, secure, and resilient architectures tailored for service provider environments.

Map partner business and technical requirements into actionable solution blueprints.

Define integration patterns across UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS APIs and OSS / BSS systems.

Technical Authority

Act as the architectural decision‑maker for key service provider engagements.

Provide governance and oversight through solution design validation and implementation.

Create reference architectures, design standards, and technical playbooks for the partner ecosystem.

Service Provider Expertise

Bring deep knowledge of carrier‑grade networking, SIP interconnects, multi‑tenant cloud, API‑driven integration and compliance requirements.

Guide partners through transformation projects including cloud migration, AI adoption, and ecosystem integration.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with product management and engineering to influence roadmap based on service provider needs.

Support delivery teams by providing architectural guidance and escalation on complex solution challenges.

Engage with alliances and program managers to ensure solutions align to joint go‑to‑market strategies.

Strategic Impact

Advise senior technical and business leaders at partner organizations on architectural strategy.

Shape long‑term platform adoption by designing solutions that scale with partner and market evolution.

Qualifications & Experience

10 years in solution architecture, solution design, or systems engineering ideally within UCaaS, CCaaS, SaaS, or telecom.

Deep expertise in service provider ecosystems: interconnect, carrier networking, OSS / BSS integration, API‑first architectures and compliance frameworks.

Proven track record designing large‑scale, multi‑million‑user solutions with service providers or global SIs.

Strong ability to document and communicate complex solution designs to both technical and executive stakeholders.

Practical knowledge of cloud‑native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern integration approaches (REST APIs, microservices, containers).

Hands‑on technical depth balanced with strategic design thinking.

Relevant certifications (AWS / Azure Architect, TOGAF, CCNP / CCIE, etc.) highly desirable.
