Job description

What you’ll be doing

• Support Isio’s development strategy by driving team growth, continuous deployments and modular coding patterns across our Microsoft ecosystem.
• Collaborate with the Head of Development and Principal Developer to agree and implement efficient ways of working processes.
• Work with internal and external teams located throughout the UK and Europe, both remotely and at Isio UK offices.
• Drive Isio’s automated testing strategy to speed up delivery and ensure high‑quality development.
• Refine Isio’s existing DevOps processes and ensure they are consistently implemented across all projects.
• Work with leaders across Isio to understand and design effective solutions to their requirements.
• Oversee digital products from proof‑of‑concept to production release and maintenance BAU.
• Support data lineage and data architecture, designing both structured and unstructured data storages in line with group governance.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring and upskilling others within the Development team.
• Participate in Isio’s CAB to ensure effective governance of changes deployed to production systems.
• Consult on Isio’s AI adoption, designing custom AI integrations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years development experience with the Microsoft Ecosystem (C#, .NET, Entra).
• 5+ years hands‑on experience with the Azure Cloud Platform, covering a broad range of Azure resource types.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps implementing CI/CD pipelines; knowledge of GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Pipelines strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with multiple high‑level architecture patterns (Monoliths, Microservices).
• Hands‑on experience designing and building mature APIs and API clients.
• Hands‑on experience with messaging queues (Azure Service Bus preferred) and asynchronous architectures.
• Knowledge of serverless technologies; Azure Functions preferred.
• Hands‑on experience working with structured and unstructured data; MSSQL Server and Azure Cosmos preferred.
• Demonstrated experience handling multiple internal and external stakeholders, including engaging with third‑party suppliers.
• Demonstrated experience with modern design patterns and loosely‑coupled architectures.
• Demonstrated experience prioritising and managing time, delivering viable solutions on time‑sensitive projects.
• Demonstrated experience working on multi‑year, multi‑phase development projects involving multiple technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Advantageous Requirements

• Knowledge of AI and its adoption within an enterprise environment.
• Development experience with Python.
• Holding professional skills certifications (Azure or similar related).
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
• Experience building integrations to third‑party SaaS products.
• Exposure to building and testing quantitative development models.
• Actuary experience and/or Pensions Administration experience.
• Understanding of private equity business models.
