Job summary

Weightmans is seeking a Property Litigation Solicitor with experience in housing management to join a growing national team operating from multiple offices, including Birmingham. You will handle a caseload focused on housing management and related residential landlord matters while supporting colleagues and contributing to client development.

You will work to strict deadlines, maintain high-quality standards, and utilise case management systems to document progress and outcomes.

• Experience in housing management work is essential.

• Excellent IT and typing skills and clear communication are required.
• Ability to work to deadlines and targets and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of predominantly housing management / anti-social behaviour work; residential cases such as possessions and rent recovery for housing associations and other residential landlords.
• Assist other case handlers with their caseloads; support junior team members; contribute to business development and profile-raising initiatives.
• Complete MI procedures as required; ensure deadlines, compliance and quality measures are met; adhere to Weightmans policies and procedures.

About your new role Our Property Litigation team acts for public and private sector landlords, tenants and real estate developers, and our client base includes local authorities, NHS Trusts, housing associations, social landlords, blue chip retailers and owner managed businesses. We use bespoke case management systems to ensure that all documents are accurate and consistent, court procedures are followed and deadlines met. As a Property Litigation Solicitor you will be joining a strong, fast-growing, national property litigation team, currently operating out of six offices: Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, London and Newcastle. The team has more than doubled in size over the last five years and is expected to continue to expand. Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage own caseload of predominantly housing management /anti-social behaviour work Caseload may also include residential cases such as possessions, rent recovery etc. for both housing association and other

residential landlords

• Assist other case handlers with their caseloads Support and develop more junior members of the team Assist with business development and profile raising initiatives including networking events Complete MI procedures as required Achieve set targets/KPIs Ensure relevant deadlines, compliance and quality measures are adhered to Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures Work in accordance with Weightmans' values
