Hugh James in Cardiff seeks a solicitor to join the Court of Protection team and handle property and financial affairs cases for deputyship clients. You will manage a varied caseload and work with clients who may lack capacity, ensuring decisions protect their best interests.
You will collaborate with families, case managers and care professionals, delivering high standards of client care in a supportive team at a leading UK law firm.

Our growing and varied client base includes children and adults, most of whom are brain injury survivors. In our deputyship work, we work closely with clients, their families, case managers and care providers to ensure that decisions are informed by consultation with those involved and made in the client’s best interests.
The firm also acts as a professional trustee for a number of clients with substantial personal injury trusts, supporting them with the management of their funds and their long-term financial needs.
Across all our work, we focus on building strong, lasting relationships with our clients and seek to empower them, wherever possible, to make their own decisions.
The team comprises solicitors, paralegals and an accounts team.
