Job summary

RINA is seeking an experienced Site Representative to provide full-time on-site oversight during the construction of a utility-scale solar PV project in the UK. Acting for the Client, the Site Representative will monitor construction activities, quality, health and safety performance, environmental compliance, and contractual obligations throughout the EPC and ICP delivery phases.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years' experience in site-based construction supervision or owner's engineering.
Demonstrable experience on utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK.
Thorough understanding of EPC contracting and construction management practices.

Responsibilities

Monitor construction progress against EPC/ICP contracts, schedules and milestones.
Oversee delivery, storage and handling of equipment and materials on site.
Review QA/QC procedures and quality management systems.
Assess workmanship against specifications and standards.
Maintain punch lists and support defect rectification.
Monitor HSE compliance and promote a safety culture on site.
Ensure compliance with UK CDM regulations and construction legislation.
Coordinate interfaces between contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
Witness key construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
Prepare weekly progress reports on site activities, risks and developments.
