Job summary

Construction & Civils Solutions Limited is looking for a Solar PV Roofer to install solar PV systems on domestic and social housing across Scotland. You will work in a three-person team, focusing on safe, high-quality roof installations that meet industry standards.

The role involves inspecting roofs, fitting panels and the Fastensol mounting system, and coordinating with apprentices while maintaining weatherproofing and safety procedures. Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 2 Roofing or equivalent.
• Blue CSCS card (or higher).
• Experience installing domestic solar PV systems.
• Experience working safely at height.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Disclosure Scotland certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Inspecting roofs before work begins.
• Installing the Fastensol mounting system.
• Fitting solar panels and routing DC cabling.
• Ensuring roofs remain fully weatherproof.
• Installing bird protection and finishing accessories.
• Taking photographic evidence throughout every installation.
• Completing digital job cards and recording equipment serial numbers.
• Reporting any design changes or structural issues.
• Following strict health and safety procedures, especially when working at height.
• Supervising apprentices or labourers when required.

• A Solar PV Roofer
• A skilled labourer/apprentice

Essential Qualifications & Experience
