Job summary

Build Recruitment are seeking a qualified Electrician specialising in Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) systems to join our renewable energy team. This role focuses on the design, installation, and maintenance of SPV systems in line with PAS2030/35 standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and experience working on rooftop and renewable energy projects, including system commissioning and site surveys.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience with Solar PV installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Knowledge of PAS2030/35 standards and renewable energy systems.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission SPV systems following PAS2030/35.
• Perform electrical connections and integrate with existing wiring.
• Assist in design and layout of PV systems and site surveys.
• Adhere to rooftop safety protocols and working-at-height regulations.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain photovoltaic systems.
• Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards and Building Regulations.
• Collaborate with other trades and liaise with clients.
