Job summary

Naked Solar in Newquay is seeking a creative and detail‑driven Solar PV Designer to design domestic and commercial solar installations using CAD and related software, taking site data and energy needs into account. You’ll work with our Solar Consultants, possess strong Microsoft Office skills, deliver accurate designs, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Solar PV Designer

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented designer to join our team to assist with the increase in demand for solar. We’re looking for someone who loves what they do, is passionate about the industry and feels comfortable encouraging other members of the team to develop their talents as well.

Working with our Solar Consultants, you’ll be building customers properties using a specialist design software (like CAD) to design appropriate solar installations for domestic and commercial customers taking account of site specific information, energy generation needs and wider customer requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have great working experience of Microsoft software (excel, word, outlook etc) and be enthusiastic with a “can-do” attitude. Extra points if you live locally and can ride your bike to work. We will provide all the training you need to become a solar superstar!

Requirements:

• Computer skills – in particular the Microsoft suite of programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
• Great customer service skills
• Good problem solving skills

Desirable:

• A passion for renewable energy
• Solar experience advantageous but not essential
• Design experience
