Job summary

PT Renewables in Wales is seeking a Solar Project Manager to lead commercial-scale renewable energy schemes across Wales. You’ll oversee solar PV, battery storage and EV charging projects from planning through delivery, coordinating site teams, procurement and client communications. A strong electrical background and proven project leadership are essential.

SMSTS/SSSTS or willingness to obtain, full UK driving licence, and a commitment to health and safety will help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with strong technical electrical knowledge.
• Experience in solar PV, electrical installations, renewables, or related sectors.
• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification and/or renewable energy certifications.
• Previous project management, supervisory, or site leadership experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging projects from inception to completion.
• Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and electrical installers.
• Planning programmes of work, procurement schedules, and project resources.
• Managing project budgets, reporting, and client communications.
• Ensuring all works meet electrical regulations, certification requirements, and quality standards.
• Driving health & safety compliance across all sites.
• Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.

The Role

Ideally, you will have:

• Qualified Electrician status with strong technical electrical knowledge
• Experience in solar PV, electrical installations, renewables, or related sectors
• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification and/or renewable energy certifications
• Previous project management, supervisory, or site leadership experience
• SMSTS or SSSTS (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Full UK Driving Licence
