Solar Roofer

Location : Remote, installations in Birmingham - Bristol - London triangle.

Hours : Mon–Fri, 40 hours per week

Salary : £35,000 - £40,000 DOE + OT

Department : Field Operations

We’re looking for an experienced Solar Roofer to install and maintain residential solar PV systems. You’ll be part of a site-based team, ensuring installations are safe, structurally sound, and completed to a high standard while working at height. This role suits a roofer with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

You will be working in a 2-man team. So if you know a Solar Electrician that you work well with, please let me know. I can then send your CVs over to my client as a joint application.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install solar panels and mounting systems on a variety of roof types
• Assess roof conditions and prepare surfaces prior to installation
• Carry out minor repairs where needed to ensure safe, stable mounting
• Ensure all work is fully weatherproof and maintains roof integrity
• Follow all safety protocols, using correct PPE when working at height
• Work closely with electricians and project managers to support full system installation
• Complete ongoing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing installations
• Keep accurate records of each installation and roof assessment
• Communicate professionally with customers, explaining the process and answering questions

What You’ll Need

Essential

• Roofing experience on tile, slate, and flat roofs
• Working at Heights certification
• Knowledge of solar PV mounting systems
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven approach
• Full UK driving licence

• NFRC membership
