Job summary

Wef5 Electrix, a renewables company based in Yorkshire, is hiring an experienced solar installation electrician to join the install team. You will install and commission solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers at homes and businesses across Yorkshire, ensuring every system meets MCS standards.

Role includes testing, fault-finding, working with roofing teams, and maintaining safety and records. 8:00–16:30, Mon–Fri, permanent full-time with a company van and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Gold ECS or JIB Gold Card required.
• EV Charger installation experience preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection and battery storage experience is a plus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers at homes and commercial sites across Yorkshire to MCS standards.
• Test, commission and fault-find on every system before leaving site.
• Work with roofing and scaffold teams to keep each job on track.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues on site and resolve them.
• Use hand and power tools safely and follow safety regulations at all times.
• Keep accurate job records and complete certificates and handover paperwork for every install.
• Hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Wef5 Electrix, a renewables company based in Yorkshire. We install solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers for homes and businesses. The solar side of the business is growing fast. Were looking for an experienced solar installation electrician to join the install team.

What youll be doing

Youll install and commission solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers at homes and commercial sites across Yorkshire, all to MCS standard. Day to day, that means:

• Installing solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems, including consumer unit upgrades where needed
• Testing, commissioning and fault-finding on every system before you leave site
• Working alongside our roofing and scaffold teams to keep each job on track
• Troubleshooting any electrical issues that come up on site and putting them right
• Using hand and power tools safely and to a high standard, and following all relevant safety regulations at all times
• Keeping accurate job records, and completing certificates and handover paperwork for every install
• Hours are 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

What were looking for

Youll need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent (City & Guilds Level 3
• A full, clean UK driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• 2391 Testing & Inspection and battery storage experience are both a plus, but not essential.
