Job summary
Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced Solar Electrician to join a growing renewable energy installation business based in Cornwall. The role is permanent or subcontract, requiring hands-on installation, testing and commissioning of domestic solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems.
We seek an independent worker who maintains high installation standards and takes ownership of electrical work from installation through testing and commissioning.
Qualifications
- Qualified to install, test and commission domestic solar PV and storage systems.
- Experience with EV charging system installation and commissioning.
- Knowledge of BS 7671 electrical safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Installing, testing and commissioning domestic solar PV systems.
- Installing and connecting battery energy storage systems.
- Carrying out electrical work for EV charging installations.
- Completing AC and DC connections, isolators and components.
- Testing, inspecting and certifying electrical installations.
- Diagnosing faults across solar and battery installations.
- Ensuring installations comply with BS 7671 and safety standards.
- Working with installation teams to deliver high-quality projects.
- Completing installation documentation and certification.
- Maintaining health and safety standards on sites.
