Job summary

Platform Recruitment are assisting a Cambridge-based technology company to hire a Senior Software Security Architect to own security across its product portfolio. This is a senior, hands-on role that defines security architecture and embeds secure practices across the development lifecycle.

Location: Cambridge. Salary: £80K-£95K. The role involves threat modelling, secure design and security requirements, and collaboration with engineering, product and QA teams to ensure secure delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software/product security and architecture.
• Experience with secure development lifecycle, threat modelling and vulnerability management.
• Strong software engineering background with practical security experience.
• Experience implementing automated security controls within CI/CD.
• Ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and make pragmatic security decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the software security strategy, roadmap and architecture.
• Lead threat modelling, secure design and security requirements.
• Define secure architecture patterns, engineering standards and controls.
• Embed security into development and CI/CD processes.
• Oversee vulnerability management, security testing and release assurance.
• Work closely with engineering, product, systems and quality teams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on secure software development.
