Job summary

Light & Wonder's Content QA team in Manchester ensures games are ready for players worldwide. You will execute test cases across game releases, report defects, perform regression testing, and support regulatory submissions, collaborating with developers and QA leadership.

The role requires solid understanding of software testing, SDLC, and experience with Jira or Mantis; ISTQB certification is advantageous. Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in the office in Manchester.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Software QA, Test Analyst, or similar role.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles and SDLC.
  • Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira or Mantis.
  • Familiarity with test management platforms such as qTest or TestRail.

Responsibilities

  • Execute test cases across game releases and report defects.
  • Perform regression testing to verify fixes.
  • Investigate and reproduce issues from the field.
  • Set up and troubleshoot QA test environments.
  • Participate in exploratory gameplay to uncover defects.
  • Create/maintain test cases to improve coverage.

Join our Content QA team in Manchester and help ensure our games are ready for players around the world. Working alongside developers and Senior Engineers, you'll test, troubleshoot, and validate game releases, support regulatory submissions, and play a key role in delivering high-quality gaming experiences across UK and international markets.

What You'll Do
  • Execute test cases across game releases, identifying and reporting defects to development teams.

  • Perform regression testing to verify fixes and ensure updates don’t introduce new issues.

  • Investigate and reproduce issues reported from the field to support effective resolution.

  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot QA test environments.

  • Participate in exploratory gameplay sessions to uncover defects and identify new testing scenarios.

  • Create and maintain test cases where required to improve test coverage.

  • Ensure software releases meet defined quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide regular progress updates and collaborate closely with developers and QA leadership.

What You'll Bring
  • Previous experience in a Software QA, Test Analyst, or similar quality assurance role.

  • Good understanding of software testing principles and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

  • Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira or Mantis.

  • Familiarity with test management platforms such as qTest or TestRail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.

  • Experience within the gaming industry is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications
  • ISTQB certification would be advantageous.
