Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Software Project Manager for a contract role until September 2026. The position is based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch with some days in Chippenham. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in managing software projects, are familiar with Polarion, C, and Java, and possess excellent communication skills. Background in Aerospace or Transport is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experienced Software Project Manager familiar with Polarion, C & Java.
• Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with complex safety-critical development projects.
• Experience in both Classical and Agile development environments desirable.
• Aerospace or Transport background is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create project schedules and drive software projects in cooperation with stakeholders.
• Execute projects within defined requirements for cost, time, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure business success and customer satisfaction through stakeholder management.
• Ensure timely decisions about issues and escalate if necessary.
• Ensure adherence to architecture, design, quality guidelines, and product safety.
• Manage and ensure compliance to standards and regulations.

3 Days onsite Ashby-de-la-Zouch / 1 Day Chippenham office

Responsibilities

• Creates project schedules and drives software projects in cooperation with stakeholders.
• Executes project within the defined requirements (e.g. regarding targets for project cost, time, quality, functionality and customer satisfaction).
• Ensures business success and satisfaction of the customer by professional stakeholder management.
• Ensures timely decisions about open issues, escalating if necessary.
• Ensures adherence to architecture, design, quality guidelines as well as product security and product safety topics.
• Manages and ensures compliance to standards, working laws, rules and regulations, intellectual property rights.
• Aligns project targets with R&D strategy (e.g. product portfolio, technology roadmap)

Qualifications

• Experienced Software Project Manager Ideally familiar with Polarion, C & Java
