Job description

Arcus FM are looking for someone with strong delivery instincts and a knack for turning complexity into clarity. If you love working cross-functionally, driving product value, and seeing ideas come to life, this could be your next big move.

As a Product Owner, you'll take ownership of day-to-day delivery across key product areas. Working closely with the wider team, you'll align roadmaps, refine priorities, and ensure that business needs translate into actionable, user-focused solutions.

You'll lead pragmatic discovery, maintain a clear and prioritised backlog, and partner closely with engineers and stakeholders to ship meaningful, incremental value.

This role also requires awareness of a sibling product, ensuring smooth handoffs and continuity into future phases of development.

This is a remote position, with occasional travel to Redditch and Cirencester for discovery/delivery workshops (frequency varies).

What You'll Do
  • Own and maintain a clear, prioritised backlog aligned with product goals and timelines
  • Turn complex business processes into actionable user stories and concise acceptance criteria
  • Run lightweight discovery when needed—even when documentation is incomplete
  • Facilitate engaging playbacks and workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with engineering through agile ceremonies to keep delivery flowing smoothly
  • Keep a user-first perspective across internal teams, suppliers, and customers
  • Align product delivery with overall strategy and future milestones
  • Use tools like JIRA, flow diagrams, and even AI/LLMs to speed up analysis and communication
  • Be the key point of contact between technical and business teams
  • Gather and respond to user feedback to support continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Essential
  • 2-4 years' experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar in a software delivery context
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management
  • Strong communication skills—you can simplify complexity and drive alignment
  • Proficiency with JIRA (or similar tools)
  • Experience running workshops, refining requirements, and producing discovery artefacts
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
  • A self-starter who is comfortable working to longer deadlines with regular check-ins so they can stay aligned
  • Strong communicator who can simplify complexity and engage non-technical audiences
Desirable
  • Background in operational, field-service, or facilities-oriented environments
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification
  • Experience juggling multiple squads or product streams
  • Use of LLMs or AI tools to enhance discovery and documentation workflows
Why Join Arcus?
  • Up to £51,480 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Up to 4% discretionary bonus based on performance
  • 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Generous pension scheme with matched contributions (5%-6%)
  • Life Assurance
  • Salary Sacrifice Electric Vehicle Scheme
  • Learning & Development opportunities, including funded training sponsorships
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Health cash plan
