Arcus FM are looking for someone with strong delivery instincts and a knack for turning complexity into clarity. If you love working cross-functionally, driving product value, and seeing ideas come to life, this could be your next big move.
As a Product Owner, you'll take ownership of day-to-day delivery across key product areas. Working closely with the wider team, you'll align roadmaps, refine priorities, and ensure that business needs translate into actionable, user-focused solutions.
You'll lead pragmatic discovery, maintain a clear and prioritised backlog, and partner closely with engineers and stakeholders to ship meaningful, incremental value.
This role also requires awareness of a sibling product, ensuring smooth handoffs and continuity into future phases of development.
This is a remote position, with occasional travel to Redditch and Cirencester for discovery/delivery workshops (frequency varies).
What You'll Do
- Own and maintain a clear, prioritised backlog aligned with product goals and timelines
- Turn complex business processes into actionable user stories and concise acceptance criteria
- Run lightweight discovery when needed—even when documentation is incomplete
- Facilitate engaging playbacks and workshops with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering through agile ceremonies to keep delivery flowing smoothly
- Keep a user-first perspective across internal teams, suppliers, and customers
- Align product delivery with overall strategy and future milestones
- Use tools like JIRA, flow diagrams, and even AI/LLMs to speed up analysis and communication
- Be the key point of contact between technical and business teams
- Gather and respond to user feedback to support continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 2-4 years' experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar in a software delivery context
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog management
- Strong communication skills—you can simplify complexity and drive alignment
- Proficiency with JIRA (or similar tools)
- Experience running workshops, refining requirements, and producing discovery artefacts
- Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
- A self-starter who is comfortable working to longer deadlines with regular check-ins so they can stay aligned
- Strong communicator who can simplify complexity and engage non-technical audiences
Desirable
- Background in operational, field-service, or facilities-oriented environments
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification
- Experience juggling multiple squads or product streams
- Use of LLMs or AI tools to enhance discovery and documentation workflows
