Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Software Product Owner to join the Software Systems Capability team in Derby or Solihull. The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours/week) with on-site requirements at Derby or Solihull.

The Software Product Owner will own the product vision, lead the backlog, and ensure value delivery by balancing stakeholder needs, technical constraints and business priorities. Strong collaboration with engineers and stakeholders is essential for success.

What you will be doing:
  • Own the product vision, roadmap and backlog for your product area.

Position qualifications:
  • Technical competency to have meaningful conversations with engineers
  • Ability to prioritise tasks based on the technical input (effort, complexity, sustainability)
  • Understanding on how the product is integrated within the ecosystem of other products and other departments (System)
  • Knowledge foundation of a High Integrity development process and certification
  • Basic understanding technical of complexity and effort drivers to differentiate between different solutions
  • Ability to structure work in a collaboration tools and apply agile metrics
