Job summary

Mondrian Alpha, a leading hedge fund, is hiring a Software Engineer to join its London office. You will design and build Python-based applications supporting trading workflows and data infrastructure, with ownership of development from design through production deployment.

Responsibilities include data pipelines, dashboards, and automation tools, working closely with business stakeholders to streamline operations and reporting. Prior experience in finance is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software development experience with Python.

My client, a leading US-based discretionary hedge fund firm, is looking to hire a seasoned Software Engineer to join its London Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing business-critical applications, data infrastructure and automation solutions supporting trading operations and internal business functions. The role offers significant project ownership and the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the business to streamline workflows, enhance reporting capabilities and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience developing web applications, APIs or full-stack software solutions.
• A strong understanding of software engineering principles and experience delivering data-intensive applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Exposure to AWS, cloud infrastructure or visualisation tools such as Plotly Dash, Tableau or Power BI would be beneficial.
• Previous experience within financial services or investment management would be advantageous.
