Allstate Northern Ireland Limited seeks a Software Engineer - Senior Consultant II for a hybrid Belfast role. You will design, build, and operate billing-related software, collaborating with product, engineering, and operations to deliver reliable services across cloud platforms and scalable systems.

You will contribute to architecture, pair programming, and a culture of test-driven development, while mentoring junior colleagues and driving CI/CD improvements in a fast-evolving domain.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Java (Spring Boot)
• Experience developing scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures with Kafka
• Strong TDD and automated testing practices (JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber)

In this role, you’ll design, build, and operate software products that power critical billing experiences, working across cloud services, automation, and scalable systems. You’ll collaborate daily with product, engineering, and operations partners; contribute to CI/CD and DevOps excellence; and play a hands on role in modernizing legacy processes while shaping the future of Allstate’s billing ecosystem.
