You will develop the services, APIs, and infrastructure that enable secure, scalable, and reliable access to MES business processes, manufacturing data, and operational events.

As the scope of AI and cloud initiatives within MES continues to grow, this role will help establish the platform capabilities required to support AI agents, IoT integrations, intelligent automation, and future product innovation across the Manufacturing portfolio.

Reporting to a Development Manager within the MES engineering organisation, you will work closely with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, Cloud Operations, and Infor OS teams to deliver strategic platform capabilities.

A Typical Day in the Life Includes:

  • Building scalable platform components that expose manufacturing data and business processes securely and reliably.
  • Developing integration capabilities between MES, Infor OS, IoT devices, and AI-enabled applications.
  • Designing and implementing platform services that support intelligent workflows, automation, and operational visibility.
  • Collaborating with architecture, product, and engineering teams to deliver strategic platform capabilities.
  • Supporting performance, scalability, security, reliability, and observability improvements across the platform.
  • Developing reusable frameworks, libraries, and platform services used across multiple product areas.
  • Participating in technical design reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Contributing to the evolution of multi-tenant SaaS platform capabilities.
  • Mentoring developers and promoting engineering best practices.
  • Supporting cloud modernisation initiatives and platform transformation efforts.
  • Contributing to the long-term evolution of the MES cloud platform.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A demonstrated background of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications or platforms.
  • Strong hands-on software development experience using C# and .NET.
  • Experience designing and building high-performance APIs and service-based architectures.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications and services.
  • Experience working with AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and modern cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and observability.
  • Experience designing and implementing distributed systems and asynchronous processing patterns.
  • Experience working with relational databases, messaging technologies, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience developing reusable frameworks, libraries, or platform components.
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, automation, and DevOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
  • Experience within Manufacturing, MES, ERP, Industrial IoT, or Operational Technology environments.
  • Experience developing platforms that support AI-enabled applications or intelligent automation.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures, event streaming, and messaging platforms.
  • Experience integrating cloud services, IoT platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience contributing to software architecture and technical standards.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical leadership initiatives

Infor MES is undergoing a significant transformation as we evolve towards a cloud-native SaaS platform and embed AI-driven capabilities throughout the product experience.
