Private Credit within Macquarie Asset Management is scaling rapidly, creating an exciting opportunity to shape the technology foundations for a growing credit business. The Macquarie Asset Management Technology team has global presence and builds user-friendly applications, reliable data pipelines, and cloud-native platforms that enable data-driven decision-making. We work closely with business stakeholders, senior leaders, data managers, and analysts, providing direct access to those shaping strategy and growth. This is a fast-moving environment where innovation and automation are key, offering exposure to modern cloud architectures and greenfield solutions.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in the advertised location.

What role will you play?

You will join a full-stack engineering team responsible for designing and building user-centric applications and the end-to-end data foundations that power them. Working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, you will deliver features and insights through reliable ingestion, transformation, and access layers, optimising cloud storage and table formats for analytical workloads and integrating with query engines. You will apply strong testing, deployment, and automation practices to ensure secure, maintainable tools backed by trustworthy, query-ready data.

In addition, you will design and provision scalable cloud infrastructure, develop and integrate secure APIs, and automate build, test, and release processes across environments. Using Infrastructure as Code, serverless and microservices patterns, and CI/CD pipelines, you will enable high-availability, secure, and cost-efficient operations. This role offers influence over greenfield solutions, exposure to modern cloud architectures, and the chance to innovate and leave a lasting impact on a high-priority business.

  • Experience delivering full-stack applications and services, including design, build, test, deployment, and version control
  • Background in asset management or private credit, with familiarity in credit data workflows and vendor integrations
  • Hands-on experience with Python, React, SQL, and API development and integration
  • Practical experience with a major cloud platform (AWS or GCP), including services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and Lambda
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control practices
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with automation for release processes and compliance
