Job summary

Hargreaves Lansdown PLC is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Pensions, ISA & Investments team in Bristol. You will build AWS cloud-native applications using TypeScript and React, ensure automated tests, and contribute to high-quality client journeys within an Agile environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in CI/CD improvements, and help evolve RESTful services and data-driven features for a leading UK investment platform.

Qualifications

Professional experience with AWS and full stack TypeScript with React on the front end.
Experience in IaC, CI/CD and modern testing frameworks.
Familiarity with microservices, RESTful APIs and API versioning.
Ability to perform code reviews and work within an Agile team.
Knowledge of performance considerations and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

Build and run AWS cloud-native applications using TypeScript and React.
Establish and maintain automated tests (Jest, Cypress, Backstop).
Write high quality, secure, tested, and performant code.
Collaborate across Product and Engineering in a cross-functional squad.
Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
