Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland in Manchester is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Software & Platform Engineering team. You will develop traditional and serverless applications, deploy via containers to cloud with CI/CD, and ensure quality through documentation and testing.

The role requires experience in Java, TypeScript, Python, or C#, plus cloud-native tech (AWS preferred) and IaC (Terraform, Pulumi). You will collaborate across teams and deliver secure, high-performance software for client

Qualifications

  • A few years of industry experience with Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, C#, React, Angular, Vue or Svelte.
  • Experience with Cloud Native technologies (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP a plus).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi).
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
  • Strong Accessibility, Security, Performance and Caching coding.

Responsibilities

  • Develop traditional and serverless applications and services in an agile environment using source control and data storage services.
  • Deploy applications using containers to cloud leveraging CI/CD with observability in production.
  • Ensure quality through documentation and unit/integration/contract testing with focus on security and performance.

As a member of our Software & Platform Engineering team, you will:
  • Develop traditional and serverless applications and services in an agile and collaborative environment using source control that integrate with data storage services / message buses and other architectural elements
  • Deploy these applications using features such as containers to cloud leveraging CI/CD to support this process backed with good observability when running these in production
  • Ensure quality through the creation of documentation and use of unit / integration / contract testing with a consideration of security / performance requirements
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
  • A few years of industry experience in one of following: Java / Typescript / Python / Go/ C#, React, Angular Vue, Svelte.
  • Experience with Cloud Native technologies (AWS preferred, familiarity with Azure or GCP a plus)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, AWS CDK, Pulumi)
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, ArgoCD)
  • Strong Accessibility, Security, Performance and Caching coding.
Set yourself apart:
  • Experience with building datastore solutions on at least one No-SQL(Elasticsearch).
  • Proven ability to apply analytical and creative thought and translate into technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience shaping and delivering small to medium size pieces of work.
