Job summary

SLB invites applications for a Software Engineer Intern (12 months) starting Summer 2027 in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. You will work on the next generation of reservoir engineering applications, focusing on Python extensibility and GenAI tooling.

The role includes integrating APIs to access core functionality and aligning with existing workflows. You will gain exposure to LLMs and build multi-functional reservoir engineering workflows, with opportunities to contribute to automated testing and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Studying a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Reservoir Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Python programming skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in integrating Python-based extensibility into SLB’s Reservoir Engineering applications.
• Explore testing methodologies and frameworks for LLMs within SLB workflows.
• Contribute to reporting options for robust automated testing of LLMs.
• Demonstrate a testing framework integration into an automated CI/CD pipeline.
