Responsibilities

• Build a deep knowledge of the performance and system health domains applied to Android and Search, including Android platform, runtime, and code generation.
• Monitor, triage, and investigate performance-related issues and assign them to the appropriate teams.
• Help build new tools to better monitor, understand and attribute changes in overall system health of the App.
• Help partner teams evaluate the performance impact of features and infrastructure changes, in addition to building the tooling that will allow their partners to self-serve in these investigations.
• Implement and maintain instrumentation, often in collaboration with Instrumentation and Android teams.
