Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London seeks an AI/ML Software Engineer to deliver end-to-end AI/ML projects within an Agile lifecycle. You will translate business needs into technical specs and milestones while producing secure, production-grade code and scalable algorithms.

You will craft architecture artifacts, develop data visualizations, and explore emerging technologies, contributing to engineering communities and modernizing systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Hands-on practitioner delivering production AI/ML solutions.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, and Auto-GPT.
• Deep knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• Expertise in at least one area: LLMs, NLP, Knowledge Graph, CV, Speech, RL, Ranking/Recommendation, or Time Series.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, ML, data mining, IR, and statistics.
• Understanding of ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, MXNet, Scikit-Learn.
• Strong Python and Spark programming; vector ops with numpy/scipy; distributed computing with multithreading, multi GPUs, Dask, Ray, Polars.
• Familiarity with AWS services EMR and Sagemaker.
• Overall SDLC knowledge.
• Strong Agile, CI/CD, resiliency, and security understanding.

Your role includes producing architecture and design artifacts, developing visualizations and reporting from large data sets, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. You will also contribute to our software engineering communities and explore emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
• Experience as a hands-on practitioner developing production AI/ML solutions
• Familiarity with agentic workflows and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Auto-GPT
• Deep knowledge and experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Expertise in at least one area: Large Language Models, Natural Language Processing, Knowledge Graph, Computer Vision, Speech Recognition, Reinforcement Learning, Ranking and Recommendation, or Time Series Analysis
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, and statistics
• Understanding of machine learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Pytorch, pyG, Keras, MXNet, Scikit-Learn
• Strong programming knowledge of Python and Spark; proficiency in vector operations using numpy, scipy; experience with distributed computation using multithreading, multi GPUs, Dask, Ray, Polars
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud services such as EMR, Sagemaker
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
