Job description

Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year

Requirements
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Knowledge of distributed technologies such as Kafka for messaging and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals across the firm to accomplish common goals
  • Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools in the work environment, with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
  • Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile
  • Proficiency in object-oriented concepts, design patterns, Java, and Spring

  • Apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation
  • Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systems
